4-Channel Metering Solution for Broadcast Environments
Loudness, true peak, PPM, vectorscope, moving-coil instruments, RTA, and correlation: The TMR7 TouchMonitor 4-channel solution featuring 7“ touchscreen and the unique TouchMonitor operating concept integrates all metering options required in radio broadcasting to a solution made to measure. Two AES3 digital inputs allow for parallel monitoring of the on-air signal and a PFL source.
The hardware and software of the TMR7 TouchMonitor are perfectly adjusted to radio-broadcast requirements. The technological basis of the new unit is the TM7 TouchMonitor with its flexible modular configuration. Available as desktop, fitted, or OEM unit, the TM7 covers all applications in professional audio metering.
Easy Integration
Thanks to its versatile interfaces, the TMR7 makes integration into any studio environment a breeze. The four audio inputs provided by the two AES3 XLR ports are flexibly configurable for mono, stereo, or multichannel sources, providing separate instruments for each source. Plus, the GPIO interface for overall control, the Ethernet port, and the VGA output for external display units offer even more functionality.
Simple but Flexible
The intuitive operating concept of the TouchMonitor range offers maximum flexibility. Freely scalable instruments can be moved to any position on the graphical surface, allowing you to personalize the entire screen area. Views, scaling, and metering standards are separately definable for each signal source. In addition, the convenient on-screen help function supports you during the setup whenever needed.
Update 6-01 expands basic software and instruments
In Firmware version 6-01, the RTA provides a 1/12-octave mode, Cinema Loudness standards (LEQ(M), TASA, SAWA) have been implemented, and the Audio Vectorscope instrument allows up to 4 instances. The output routing can individually be adjusted for each preset, all presets can be exported or imported at the same time. Further details can be found in the Release Notes (included in the update package), or in the data sheet.

Software Modules
- SW20002: Loudness and SPL Display
This module expands the basic 4-channel PPM with Loudness measuring functions as described in current guidelines (EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770-3/1771-1, ATSC A/85, ARIB, OP-59, AGCOM, CALM, LEQ(M), TASA, SAWA), and the LRA instrument for the graphical display of the Loudness Range. A customer-specific mode allows the user to modify parameters. In addition the module provides the SPL display mode with various weighting filters and integration times as well as reference level adjust to calculate an SPL value from an electrical signal.
- SW20003: RTA - Real Time Analyzer
This module provides in 31-octave, 61-octave, or 1/12-octave mode a spectral distribution display for single channels, channel pairs or groups plus HP HF band.
- SW20006: RTW Premium PPM
This module expands the Stereo and 4-channel PPM (standard software) with additional scales (Zoom, SMPTE, NHK, ARD+9, et al.), additional display modes (segment, classic), and PPM/VU moving coil instruments with different scales and functions. It also provides up to four 2-channel Audio Vectorscope and a separate phase meter.
- SW20008: Timecode Reader

This module provides the Timecode function as a separate mode generating an individual audio group providing the Timecode Reader instrument. It is used to decode and to display a LTC timecode using one of the selectable audio inputs. The module also includes the Loud. Recal. instrument for the control of a loudness measurement by a timecode either with recalcualtion or without.

This module allows to collect data of Loudness and TruePeak measurements and either to store them on a USB flash drive or to send them via IP connection to the LQL - Loudness Quality Logger PC software for analyzing (available free of charge at PC Software/LQL - Loudness Quality Logger section to registered users). The module also includes the Loudness Chart instrument for displaying and analyzing the course of a loudness measurement directly on TMR7's display.

Every device comes with a comprehensive basic software package including all relevant measuring tools and instruments for the immediate use in many applications. For specific demands, the feature set can be expanded with software modules (licences).
PPM
Digital 2 x 2-channel Stereo and 4-channel PPM and TruePeak meter for up to four channels with analog and digital scales, Peak Hold, Peak Memory, Over indicator, numerical display. Additional control keys for positioning on the display. Loudness bargraphs switchable with SW20002.
Stereo-Correlator
Stereo Correlator instrument for displaying the phase relationship between the two channels of a stereo signal for the evaluation of mono compatibility. Additional control keys for positioning on the display.
VSC - Vectorscope
2-channel Audio Vectorscope for displaying the phase relationship between the two channels of a channel pair (Lissajous display). Additional control keys for positioning on the display.
AES Status
AES Status monitor for displaying various parameters of AES3 digital audio signals in plain text. Additional control keys for positioning on the display.
Gain Reduction
Instrument for the display of external gain reduction data streamed by dynamic processors used in audio equipment and fed to the TouchMonitor via its Network interface and TCP/IP, for example the compressor activity of a mixing desk channel.
Global Keyboard
Global Keyboard with definable on-screen keys for simultaneous control of defined functions in multiple instruments, and for preset recall. It also allows external control vial GP IO interface.
